Employees at a daycare in Missouri told Conrad Ashcraft’s mom that her 3-year-old son, who had autism, was napping, according to the family. But instead, she found him lifeless, face down on a pillow.
“He was nonverbal, so he couldn’t say ‘oh, this hurts’ or ‘I can’t breathe.'”
Conrad’s mom filed a lawsuit, claiming an employee forced the boy to sleep, applying weight to his body, causing suffocation. He allegedly lay there for hours.
